During the Rhodes campaign, an assassination attempt on Sultan Süleyman is thwarted by İbrahim, who is gravely injured, while Hürrem gives birth to a daughter, disappointing her but delighting Mahidevran. Süleyman captures and harshly punishes the assassin Murat, alarming the Grand Master as the Ottomans tighten their grip on Rhodes. Meanwhile, news emerges that Hatice Sultan’s fiancé, Mehmet Çelebi, is seriously ill, adding further tension to the unfolding drama.
