Stephen checks in on Rick and Ernie in the lab, where they're testing a new waste stream. He's curious what they're working on, but when he finds out what it is - tampons - he quickly leaves. At a team meeting, Tom dispels the latest rumors by revealing his new passion project: he wants to solve tampon recycling!
