Throughout her short life, Angela Meyer wrestled with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia — with the help of her close family. However, both Angela and her family began to feel the strain of her deteriorating mental health. They were frustrated with the lack of resources available to them in the Northwest Territories. On November 27, 2010, Angela was at home on a weekend pass from the local hospital when she disappeared from the front steps of her parents’ home.
