As the trial begins, Ashley reacts when the prosecution reveals details of Ryan and Maisie's relationship. As proceedings continue, a terrified Nathan is called to the stand and swears to tell the whole truth. Meanwhile, despite what's happened, Paddy looks forward to the party with Rhona and is baffled by Pearl's strange behaviour, unaware that Pearl thinks she's going with him Elsewhere, Jai approaches Eric and Val over a possible purchase of the old factory; Laurel reveals to a tearful Diane how she feels about her treatment of Doug; and Viv returns after visiting Donna.
